The Howarth Foundation recently launched its innovative and unique Business’ Building Futures project inviting businesses to sign up for membership and offer employment to a genuinely homeless or recently homeless person.

We are delighted to announce that twenty companies in the region have shown interest in joining the project and our first member to sign on the dotted line is the longest established manufacturer in Leeds. Procter Bros Ltd was established in 1740 and is split into four divisions, Machine Guarding, Contracts, Supplies and Cast Stone with the head office and Procter Supplies based in Garforth and other divisions based in Wales and Essex. Procter Bros is a market leader with its nationwide Machine Guarding, Fencing and Concrete Products that integrate the best of traditional skills with the latest techniques and services. Gary Horsfall, Divisional Director at Procter Bros said “Having been based in Leeds since our establishment in 1740, we have seen up close the number of homeless people across the city increase dramatically. Working with The Howarth Foundation we are determined to play our part in getting these people back into suitable employment, building their confidence and enabling them to once again make a positive contribution to the Leeds City Region”

If your business would like to join the project to offer either employment or simply become a supporter and fund raise please contact Natalie Wells-Jagger, Business Development manager, by emailing or call 01274 864999.
