The Howarth Foundation is working in partnership with other charities to tackle homelessness in Leeds and Kirklees, working on a referral basis to assist service users to obtain employment.
Change, Grow, Live – Leeds Street Outreach Service
Provide an outreach service to people who are rough sleeping, at risk of homelessness, or begging in Leeds. They help people who rough sleep or beg to move away from the streets and access appropriate support services.
St Anne’s Resource Centre (RAISE)
Support to homeless people through drop-in Resource Centre, hostel accommodation and outreach. RAISE (Resources, Advice, Information, Support and Employment) is based in the centre of Leeds and provides an open door facility for homeless people in Leeds.
Part of the Home Group, the UK’s largest care and support provider, Clare House opened in Huddersfield in 2016 to offer the homeless and rough sleepers accommodation. Clare House can accommodate 20 people at any one time and has emergency crash pads for extreme weather conditions.
St Georges Crypt
A charity in the City of Leeds, working with the homeless, the vulnerable and those suffering from addiction. Offering emergency accommodation, immediate practical support in terms of getting fed, cleaned and clothed. The Crypt give people a place where they can chose to change.
GIPSIL works with children, young people and families in the most disadvantaged communities in Leeds to realise their potential. GIPSIL provide housing related support through FLAGSHIP, Leaving Care and Engage Leeds services. Running Opportunity Shops to give people access to opportunities which will move them closer to employment.
Beacon launched in July 2017 as a Leeds wide service to provide supported accommodation for individuals and families who are homeless and have complex needs. This includes issues around mental health, offending, substance misuse and safeguarding. An inspirational service that offers supported, safe and stable accommodation to those in need.
